The Aetas are considered to be one of the first native settlers or the indigenous people in the Philippines, they live in isolated mountainous area so when the biggest eruption of Mt. Pinatubo erupted in 1991, they evacuated to different places.Due to mining, illegal logging caused the indigenous population to decrease.The Aeta have become extremely nomadic due to social and way of life that had previously remained unchanged for thousand of years. The life expectancy at birth of the Aeta is just 16 years, with only third of children surviving to adulthood at 15 years , the life expectancy is still only 27 years .
